Kenya Reinsurance's gross written premiums up 20% in 2014

Kenya Reinsurance Corp. Ltd. has said that its pre-tax profit increased 20% to 3.9 billion Kenyan shillings ($50 million) in 2014, Reuters reported.

The reinsurer's gross written premiums increased 20% to KES 11.57 billion for the period. "This was as result of overall insurance premiums growth in Kenya and the rest of Africa where the corporation derives the bulk of its revenues," Kenya Reinsurance said.
