Towers Watson & Co. has appointed Eric Speer to lead its risk and financial services business, effective July 1.
He replaces Patricia Guinn, who will retire on June 30, Towers Watson said Monday in a statement.
Stamford, Connecticut-based Mr. Speer, who has worked for Towers Watson for 25 years, is currently the global leader for the firm’s risk consulting and software business, according to the statement.
Mr. Speer’s “wealth of experience, strategic vision, keen understanding of the insurance industry and proven track record of driving profitable growth will be of great value to the executive leadership team and our clients,” Towers Watson CEO John Haley said in the statement.
Towers Watson also said Michael Murphy will succeed Mr. Speer as global leader of risk consulting and software. Mr. Murphy is currently Towers Watson’s Dublin-based risk consulting and software leader for Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
Towers Watson & Co. has said that it has hired Keith Brooks as director of its insurance management consultancy in the Asia-Pacific region, reports The Business Times.
