Scor S.E. has said that it did not feel the need to join the ongoing consolidation activity in the industry, reports Reuters.
Analysts had expected the France-based reinsurer to look at acquisitions in order to avoid being left behind. "We see [the consolidation], but we are not in the position where we have to do a deal because we are exactly where we want to be in terms of size, profitability and capital," said Scor chief executive Denis Kessler. Scor's net profit for 2014 totaled €512 million ($567 million).
