Insurer Sul America's net income rises 14% in 2014

Brazilian insurer Sul America S.A.'s net income increased 14% year on year to 548.7 million Brazilian reals ($191 million) in 2014, Segs.com.br reported.

The insurer's consolidated total revenue amounted to BRL 16.9 billion, up 15% year from the year prior. Net income increased 2% to BRL 294.6 million in the fourth quarter of 2014. Revenue for the fourth quarter totaled BRL 4.2 billion.
