The first damage repair bill from cyclone Lam that hit Australia's northern Top End region has been pegged at $82.4 million Australian ($64.5 million), 9news.com.au reported.

More than 240 residents have been displaced in Northern Territory's Galiwinku region.

The damage repair cost in the region has been estimated at about $47.1 million Australian ($36.8 million).

The cost of repairing houses in the Northern Territory's Ramingining and Milingimbi regions has been pegged at $17.7 million Australian ($13.8 million) and $17.6 million Australian ($13.7 million), respectively.
