Zhou Yanli, vice chairman of China Insurance Regulatory Commission, has said that the profit of the country's insurance sector likely will grow 184.07% year on year in January, reported Hexun.com citing Beijing Daily.

The sector is expected to post profit worth about 33.363 billion Chinese yuan ($5.3 billion) for the period.

The industry's premium income was reported to have increased 18.95% year on year to CNY 400.556 billion ($64.04 billion) in January.
