Earthquake hits southwestern Mexico

Mexico's national seismology service said that a 6.3-magnitude earthquake has hit the country's southwestern region, reported Fox News Latino citing Agencia EFE.

The quake's epicenter was located 233 kilometers southwest of the country's Cihuatlan city.

A magnitude 5.3 aftershock followed the quake.
