A recent study has found that transparency is a major shortcoming among insurers in the Asia-Pacific region, Asia Insurance Review reported.

Transparency was lacking mainly in the areas of compensation and risk management, the study found. The study covered 15 countries in the region and examined a number of areas such as corporate and ownership structures and risk management.
