Chinese insurance capital worth $239.55 billion invested overseas

Zhou Yanli, vice chairman of China Insurance Regulatory Commission, has said that the country invested $239.55 billion insurance capital in foreign market as of the end of 2014, China Daily USA reported.

The capital accounted for 1.44% of the insurance sector's total assets.

Investments in real estate projects accounted for around 20% of the overseas investments, Mr. Yanli said.
