Swiss Reinsurance Co. Ltd. has said that the launch of some infrastructure projects in Hong Kong would boost insurance premiums growth in 2015, The Standard reported.
The reinsurer has forecast that insurance premiums in the country would grow 3% to 4% this year. "In 2015, there will tentatively be about 90 public works projects to be submitted to the Legislative Council for approval," said Swiss Re. Over a third of the infrastructure projects "are with an estimated budget of more than $500 million Hong Kong ($64.5 million)," Swiss Re said.
