India: Insurer United India expects record $65 million of premium income in Uttar Pradesh

United India Insurance Co. Ltd. is looking to post total premium income of 4 billion Indian rupees ($65 million) in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh for the financial year 2014-15, reports Business Standard.

United India is aiming for more than 17% growth in its premium income in the state. The insurer is looking to record INR 110 billion of premium income throughout pan-India during the period, United India chairman and managing director Milind Kharat said. "Against the domestic general insurance industry growth of 8%, we are growing at 11%," Mr. Kharat added.
