XL Group P.L.C. has launched an excess professional liability follow-form policy in the United States and Canada.
The simplified, one-page excess form provides up to $50 million of additional liability limits over primary professional liability coverage from XL or other carriers, the Dublin-based insurer said in a statement Wednesday.
According to information on XL’s website, the excess form contains no exclusions.
“With this new true follow-form, we are simplifying the underwriting process, but also helping to eliminate potential conflicts and coverage gaps that can complicate claims,” Gregory McCoy, assistant vice president of underwriting in XL’s professional business, said in the statement.
