Arthur J. Gallagher acquires California employee benefits consulting firm

Arthur J. Gallagher & Co. has acquired Newport Beach, California-based employee benefits consulting firm e3 Financial.
A spokeswoman for Gallagher said terms of the deal, announced Monday, were not disclosed.
E3 Financial provides employee benefits brokerage, human resource administration and financial benefits consulting services for middle market group and individual customers nationwide, Gallagher said in the statement. The firm specializes in integrated organizational, executive and employee resources products for the real estate development, technology and financial services industries, according to the statement.
E3 Financial's three principals, Andrew Torelli, Michael Rankin and Amanda Davis, and their team of about 20 employees will continue to operate in their current location under the direction of Norbert Chung, head of Gallagher's Western employee benefit consulting and brokerage operations, according to the statement.
Arthur J. Gallagher is the fourth-largest insurance broker worldwide, according to Business Insurance's latest ranking.
