Managing general agent Texas Security General Insurance Agency Inc., a subsidiary of Brown & Brown Inc., has acquired San Antonio, Texas-based MGA Hall-Wright General Agency Inc.
A spokesman for Daytona, Florida-based Brown & Brown declined to disclose the terms of the deal, announced Monday.
Hall-Wright, which has annual revenues of approximately $1.6 million, specializes in personal lines and commercial lines property/casualty insurance in Texas and Louisiana, according to the statement.
Hall-Wright principal Robert Wright and his team will join Texas Security's existing office in San Antonio under the leadership of Texas Security President and CEO Tom Contreras, Brown & Brown said in the statement.
Hall-Wright will assume Texas Security's name, a Brown & Brown spokesman said.
“This acquisition presents a unique opportunity to further expand our wholesale presence in Texas and Louisiana,” Mr. Contreras said in the statement. “The Hall-Wright team possesses a remarkable level of technical knowledge and experience that enable them to provide high-quality service to their retail agents.”
Brown & Brown is the seventh-largest insurance broker worldwide according to Business Insurance's latest ranking.
