Japan: Magnitude 5.8 quake strikes Fukushima prefecture

The Japan Meteorological Agency said that a magnitude 5.8 earthquake has struck Fukushima Prefecture in the country's northeastern region, Xinhua reported.

The epicenter was at first traced to 141.6 degrees east longitude and 37.4 degrees north latitude, said the agency.

No serious damage or casualties have been reported. The agency did not issue any tsunami warning.
