Fitch Ratings Ltd. has said that Australian insurers are likely to maintain their high capital ratios in 2015, Asia Insurance Review reported.

Insurers in the country have strong capital positions and conservative investment portfolios, the ratings agency said. It added that the momentum in earnings in the nonlife insurance sector in 2014 is likely to be continued in 2015, Asia Insurance Review reports. The ratings agency has maintained a 'stable' outlook for the country's insurance sector.
