The Philippine National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council said in its 22nd update that estimates for damage from the recent Typhoon Ruby has been increased to 3.35 billion Philippine pesos ($75 million), BusinessWorld Online reports.
Damage to infrastructure has been pegged at PHP 1.44 billion ($32.2 million) and agricultural damage has been estimated at PHP 1.91 billion ($42.7 million) across five central Philippine regions, said NDRRMC.
Ruby has affected 3.85 million people and claimed 18 lives so far, NDRRMC said.
