Brazil's insurance market is likely to become the eighth largest in the world by 2020, reported Companiesandmarkets.com.

It currently placed at 12th globally in terms of insurance market size.

Figures from Lloyd's of London show that Brazil's nonlife and non-motor market is currently worth $14 billion.

The country's insurance and reinsurance market has witnessed growth despite weak GDP growth.

Brazil had a 48% share in the Latin American nonlife insurance market in 2013, Companiesandmarkets.com reports.
