Figures from the Artemis Deal Directory show that the outstanding insurance-linked securities and catastrophe bond market has grown to $23.43 billion, an all-time record, Artemis.bm reported.
The market could further expand, Artemis.bm said, with around $78 million of cat bonds set to mature before the year ends and at least $500 million of new issuances yet to be completed. However, the high volume of upcoming maturities means that the market could slightly decline in 2015.
