Hungary: Insurance industry posts 3.61% increase in premium volume

The Association of Hungarian Insurance Companies said that the country's insurance sector recorded a 3.61% year-on-year increase in premium volume for the first three quarters of 2014, Webradio.hu reported.

Premium income totaled 640 Hungarian forints ($2.61 billion), with premium income in the nonlife insurance segment totaling HUF 305 billion ($1.24 billion).

The general liability insurance market grew 15% year on year.
