Perils raises insured loss estimate for European windstorm Christian to $1.45 billion

Perils A.G. has increased the insured loss estimate for European windstorm Christian to €1.14 billion ($1.45 billion), reports Artemis.bm.

This is the fourth and final estimate by the Switzerland-based loss data provider, which had originally estimated losses of €994 million. Christian hit northern and western Europe in October 2013, affecting several countries and causing extensive damage.
