Heavy rains due to tropical storm Trudy in southern Mexico have caused major damage and claimed at least six lives, The Weather Channel reported citing the Associated Press.
Heavy rainfall was reported in Acapulco and Ometepec regions in Mexico, a meteorologist said. Many rivers were flooded, damaging crops and infrastructure, reports The Weather Channel. A pedestrian bridge over the Solteco River in Guerrero was also damaged, a newspaper reported.
