BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Aon Hewitt's private health exchanges poised to grow in 2015

The number of employers participating in two Aon Hewitt private health insurance exchanges will jump next year.

In 2015, 33 employers with more than 850,000 employees and dependents will participate in the Aon Active Health Exchange, Aon Hewitt said in a news release. That compares with 18 employers, with 600,000 employees and dependents who offered coverage through the exchange in 2014.

While Aon Hewitt did not disclose the names of the newest employers, it said all 18 companies that participated in the exchange this year — including Orlando, Florida-based Darden Restaurants Inc., Hoffman Estates, Illinois-based Sears Holdings Corp. and Deerfield, Illinois-based Walgreen Co. — will continue with the exchange.

In addition, 54 employers, up from 41 in 2014 with 350,000 retirees, will participate in an Aon Hewitt health exchange next year for Medicare-eligible retirees. Aon Hewitt says it doesn't it have a comparable 2014 enrollment figure because of a methodology change it is making in calculating enrollment.

“The strong growth and significant interest in our exchanges reinforce that private health exchanges create a more powerful and efficient market for health insurance and improve the way it is evaluated, purchased and used,” Cary Grace CEO of Aon Exchange Solutions in Lincolnshire, Illinois, said in the news release.
