A pilot program for food safety liability insurance has been launched in China's Hubei province, reports Jrj.com.cn.

The pilot will allow medium-sized hotels and restaurants in schools to tap insurance for their operations.
The program also calls for further developments and experiments in food safety liability insurance to expand coverage.
The launch follows the recent introduction of medical malpractice liability insurance pilot plan in the province, Jrj.com.cn reported.
