Oman: Insurance industry foraying into new segments, says regulator

The Capital market Authority of Oman has said that the country's insurance industry is venturing into new segments beyond auto insurance, reports Zawya.

The regulator said the growth of "engineering and construction and liability insurance" is an example of this diversification.

Oman's insurance market currently stands at 1.2% of GDP and has been expanding at an average rate of 14% annually during the past six years.
