Indonesia: Gross general insurance claims up 27.9% in first half of 2014

Figures from the regional general insurance association have shown that gross general insurance claims in Indonesia reached 9.86 trillion Indonesian rupiahs ($830.2 million) during the first half of 2014, Sindonews.com reported.

This figure indicates that there was a 27.9% increase in the claims.

Segments that accounted for major portions in the claims were property, motor and health.
