David Walker has been inaugurated as chairman of the Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America Inc., the Alexandria, Virginia-based producers' group announced.
Mr. Walker, who was inaugurated Saturday, is president of Hartland Insurance Agency in Hartland, Michigan. He succeeds Thomas Minkler, president of the Clark-Mortenson Agency in Keene, New Hampshire.
In addition, Randy Lanoix, president of Lanoix Insurance Agency in Lutcher and Brusly, Louisiana, was installed as chairman-elect; Spencer Houldin, president of Ericson Insurance Services L.L.C., which has offices in Litchfield County, Connecticut, and New York, was installed as vice chairman; and Jon Jensen, president of Correll Insurance Group, headquartered in Spartanburg, South Carolina, was named at-large executive committee member.
The new officers began their terms at the conclusion of the board meeting, held over the weekend in conjunction with the organization's fall leadership conference in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
The Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America has named Wyatt Stewart as director of federal government affairs.
