Japan: Steel plant blast injures 15Reprints
An explosion has occurred at a Nippon Steel and Sumitomo Metal Corp. facility in Tokai, Japan, injuring at least 15 people, GlobalPost reported.
Many accidents have occurred at the site in recent times. Nippon Hoso Kyokai reported, citing police sources, that the explosion happened when workers were trying to deal with smoke from a coal storage unit. In 2014, there were four incidents related to blackouts at the plant, but this one was caused by another factor, a company spokeswoman said.
