Korea: Insurers' risk-based capital ratio increases in second quarter

South Korean insurers' risk-based capital ratio increased during the April to June period, marking the second straight quarterly rise, GlobalPost reported citing Yonhap.

Figures from the Financial Supervisory Service showed that the RBC of 56 insurers averaged 299.5% as of the end of June, an increase of 16.2 percentage points from the January to March quarter.

Nonlife insurers reported RBC ratio at 264.9% on average during the period.
