Law firms Hinshaw & Culbertson and Barger & Wolen mergeReprints
Chicago-based law firm Hinshaw & Culbertson L.L.P. and Los Angeles-based law firm Barger & Wolen L.L.P. are merging.
The merger creates an insurance law practice with more than 120 attorneys focused on providing legal counsel to insurers and financial services firms, the firms said in a joint statement Tuesday.
The merger will become effective on Oct. 1, and the firm will keep the name Hinshaw & Culbertson, according to the statement.
“With our combined experience and prominence in the insurance industry, we now have the expanded capacity to guide the major players that regulate and operate in that space,” Hinshaw & Culbertson chairman Don Mrozek said in the statement.
