Willis Re launches Florida operations

Willis Group Holdings P.L.C. has opened a new Willis Re operation in Tampa, Florida, to expand its reinsurance presence in the North American market, the company announced Wednesday.
Ken Vincent, executive vice president with more than 15 years at Willis Re in Minneapolis, will head the Tampa office and will be joined by Ian Hanson, treaty analyst, and others from Minneapolis.
“This newly-created office will provide us with local presence to enrich the practical and technical support services we deliver to the growing list of customers we serve in Florida and the South East,” said Mr. Vincent in the statement.
The new team will join Willis Group's existing retail brokerage office location in Tampa, the statement said.
