Costa Rica: Bridge could collapse if no repairs done, experts say

Experts have warned that the Taiwan Friendship Bridge in Costa Rica could collapse if there are no immediate steps to fix some major problems on the structure, Inside Costa Rica reports.

The experts from the National Laboratory of Materials and Structural Models said the biggest worry is considerable damage to an expansion joint. The structure has suffered damage from many earthquakes but these have yet to be repaired.
