Militants have set aircraft and buildings at Libya's Tripoli airport on fire after they gained control of the airport after weeks of fighting, the Daily Mail reports.

The airport's main terminal has been destroyed by fire that occurred during the conflicts. Tripoli, the country's capital city, has suffered major damage during the recent clashes and many people, including foreign nationals, have fled the city.
