Bangladesh: Huge crop damage feared due to floods

Bangladesh's Department of Agriculture Extension has said that floods have caused damage to around 50,000 hectares of farmlands in 12 districts, reported The Financial Express.

An official at the DAE said that a major part of flood-hit crops would be damaged if the condition did not improve soon.

Another DAE official said the department has taken some measures to help the farmers recover losses.
