Heavy rain in the southeast region of South Korea has caused flooding and landslides, leaving at least one dead, Bloomberg reported citing Yonhap News.
A school in Busan was flooded, while landslides demolished a senior citizens' center.
Korea Hydro & Nuclear Power Co. had to stop operations at one of its nuclear reactors as rain leaked into a water-intake facility, said spokeswoman Choi Si Ye. Bad weather led to some flights in the region being cancelled.
