Bangladesh: Floods damage crops in Kurigram district

Floods have destroyed crops on more than 10,000 hectares in Bangladesh's Kurigram district and damaged around 200 houses, The Daily Star reported.

The country is facing "the peak of the flooding season," Amirul Hossain, executive engineer of the Flood Forecasting and Warning Centre, said.

Cracks were reported on Gaibandha Town Protection Dyke along Ghagot in Dashani because of rising water, reports The Daily Star.
