Houston International Insurance Group has named Susan Swails as president and chief underwriting officer of its newly formed division, HIIG Global Energy, the insurer said Wednesday.
“HIIG Global Energy will begin underwriting on January 1st and will be the first in a series of new initiatives at our rapidly expanding specialty group,” HIIG CEO Stephen L. Way said in the statement.
Ms. Swails joins Houston-based HIIG from American International Group Inc. where she worked as global head of oil rig coverage.
She is based in Houston.
Lockton Cos. L.L.P. is bolstering its London-based energy group with hires from the RKH Group Ltd., Aon P.L.C. and Marsh L.L.C., the brokerage said Tuesday.
