Turkey: Insurers hesitant to provide coverage to several high-risk sectors

Insurers' stringent policies against several high-risk industries are posing challenges to Turkey's goal of reaching $500 billion in exports in 2023, Daily Sabah reported.

Irfan Uzun, chairman of Insurance Underwriters and Agencies Association, said that after foreign insurers entered the market, several small and medium enterprises that use inflammable materials in their production processes are struggling to take out insurance or pay high premiums.
