Kenya Airways seeks $3.8 million compensation over airport fire

Kenya Airways Ltd. is seeking a compensation of $3.8 million from the Kenya Airports Authority after a fire at Nairobi's Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in August 2013 forced the airline to cancel flights, Reuters reported.

At the time of the incident, Kenya Airways estimated the lost revenue at $4 million. The airline, which has taken the matter to court, alleges that the KAA failed to provide sufficient fire-fighting equipment at the airport, reports Reuters.
