Nepal: Power developers lose $10 million due to landslide damage

Power companies in Nepal are losing 8 million Nepalese rupees ($80,560) a day after the landslide in Jure and damming of Sunkoshi River caused damage to two hydropower projects and affected transmission lines, Republica reported.

Total losses have reached NPR 960 million to date. Damage to power houses and transmission lines have disrupted electricity delivery to local business center Barhabise, which is now completely in the dark.
