BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

Study finds extreme weather events on the rise

New research has concluded that extreme weather events such as droughts and floods are becoming more common, The Guardian reported.

Climate scientists in Germany found that since 2000 there have been an "exceptional number of summer weather extremes." The heat waves in Russia in 2010, which claimed 50,000 lives, and in western Europe during 2003, which claimed 30,000 lives, were the result of blocking patterns, where hot or wet weather remains stuck over an area for weeks.
