Taiwan: Floods hit blast-affected KaohsiungReprints
Heavy rains have forced offices in Taiwan's Kaohsiung city to close down as floods overwhelmed its sewage system, reports The Malay Mail Online citing Agence France-Presse.
"The flooding over the past few days was caused by the serious damage caused to the sewage systems by the" recent gas explosions, said Kaohsiung Mayor Chen Chu. The city lies next to a huge petrochemical complex that houses several factories. Many pipelines run under the city.
