Kazakhstan: First half 2014 premiums up 9.6% to $675 millionReprints
Premiums reported by insurers in Kazakhstan in the first half of 2014 totaled 125 billion Kazakhstani tenge ($675 million), down 9.5% year on year, Forinsurer reported.
Premiums from voluntary property insurance totaled KZT 59.4 billion, up 6%. Insurers' assets increased 13.4% to KZT 593.42 billion during the period. Currently, there are 34 insurers and reinsurers in Kazakhstan, along with 14 insurance broking firms.
