Vietnam: Insurance industry's premiums up 12.6% in first half

Vietnam's insurance industry recorded a 12.6% year-on-year increase in premiums to 24 trillion Vietnamese dong ($1.2 billion) for the January to June period, reports Asia Insurance Review citing Vietnamnet Bridge.

Nonlife premiums totaled an estimated VND 13.1 trillion, up 7.3%. Nonlife insurers paid an estimated VND 5.91 trillion in claims during the period.
