BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

The Independent Insurance Agents & Brokers of America has named Wyatt Stewart as director of federal government affairs.

“Wyatt brings a wealth of congressional and political experience to the Big ‘I’,” says Charles E. Symington, Jr., senior vice president for external and government affairs of the Alexandria, Virginia-based producer group in a statement. “The Big ‘I’ is pleased to welcome him to our federal government affairs team.”

Mr. Stewart previously served as advisor for policy and coalitions for former House Majority Leader Eric Cantor, R-Va. Before his work on Capitol Hill, Stewart worked for the Republican Party of Virginia.

“With so many issues before Congress that are critical to our members and insurance consumers, we are glad to complete our team with a professional with such pertinent and extensive legislative experience,” said Mr. Symington. “Wyatt is well-respected on and off Capitol Hill, and he will do a stellar job representing independent insurance agents in the nation’s capital.”
