Ghana's insurance industry saw 23 out of the 25 nonlife players close the first quarter with combined earnings of 226.3 million Ghanaian cedi ($84 million), Business & Financial Times reported.

Top earners during the period included SIC Insurance Co. Ltd., Metropolitan Insurance Co. Ltd., Vanguard Assurance Co. Ltd., Star Assurance Co. Ltd. and Enterprise Insurance. Co. Ltd.

The top five players accounted for around 64.4% of the total earnings.
