Vietnam: Few firms claim compensation for damage caused during anti-China riots

The May anti-China violence in Vietnam cost 33 organizations 5.4 billion Vietnamese dong ($270,000) in total damage, Saigon-GP Daily reported.

The Ho Chi Minh City Industrial and Export Processing Zone Authority said 21 of these companies did file compensation claims for the damage. Meanwhile, nine companies are working with insurers for around VND 3.8 billion in indemnity.
