Allianz lead insurer for crashed Malaysia Airlines flightReprints
Germany's Allianz S.E. is the lead hull and liability reinsurer covering the Malaysia Airlines flight MH-17 that was brought down over Ukraine, Bloomberg reported.
Aon P.L.C. said the aircraft is worth around $97 million. Aon also said Atrium Underwriting Group Ltd. was the leader for war coverage and could pay claims if the damage is related to terrorism, reports Bloomberg. A spokeswoman for Willis Group Holdings P.L.C. said Willis brokered the insurance.
