Companies in Brazil are becoming increasingly concerned over the rising number of thefts on highways, reports Segs.com.br.

Ricardo Guirao from Aon P.L.C. in Brazil said companies are investing around 4% to 7% of their revenues for risk management. The situation has also resulted in an increasing demand for risk mitigation measures – including insurance – to tackle the problem. Regulator SUSEP said premiums from insurance for shippers and carriers totaled more than 2.5 billion Brazilian reals ($1 billion) in 2013, Segs.com.br reported.
