India: Fire at retailer destroys stocks worth $4.9 million

A fire at a warehouse of the Indian Naval Canteen Stores in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh, caused damage worth 300 million Indian rupees ($4.9 million), sources said.

The sources said around 70% of the groceries, liquor and several electronic appliances were destroyed in the blaze, The New Indian Express reported. The flames caused some damage to a nearby State Bank of India branch office.
